I want to be domesticated, a humanitarian, a foodie, a fashionista, & a world-traveler. In the meantime, I'm a 24 year old grad student in beautiful Southern California. I'm from the cookie-cutter suburbs, but have recently relocated to Los Angeles. Here are my thoughts & adventures! Twitter: @tiffanyjam

Did I just eat this magnificent and fatty Monte Cristo sandwich and fries way past my bedtime? Yup. Do I regret it? Hell no.

Smoked salmon, dill cream cheese and cucumber waffle sandwich from Bruxie :)
Sister had the fried chicken waffle sandwich and that was good too (probably better than mine, but I’m partial to fried chicken).

Classic 1/3 Pound Cheeseburger at The Oinkster (Taken with picplz in Eagle Rock, CA.)
“Made from fresh Nebraska Angus beef with our own thousand island dressing, dill pickles, onions, tomato and lettuce.” I added gruyere cheese.
Checked another one off the list. 3 down, 7 to go.
Side note: I’m beginning to think I’ll need to carry out this list into 2012, instead of finishing 7 for the rest of the year…or not. We’ll see. Anyone down?

Although you’ve only met my lips once, I miss you dearly, French Toast Sampler. 3 different types of homemade bread, sweet fresh fruit, maple syrup, and absolutely delicious Ollalieberry jam. You make a young woman yearn for your taste, simply by looking at your picture. You are the only (?) french thing I’ve ever loved.

First time at Wurstkuche! (Taken with picplz in Los Angeles, CA.)
Left to right: Duck & bacon sausage with jalapeños, caramelized onions, & sweet peppers. Bratwurst with sauerkraut & spicy peppers. Belgian fries with white truffle oil glaze.
YUM.

First burger to start off my journey to try The LAist’s 10 Best Burgers in LA
Umami Burger
I’m not a food critic by any means, but this tasted like burger heaven and I could taste why GQ named Umami the best burger in the U.S.
I’ve already had Father’s Office, so that’s 2 down, 8 to go.

Today, I used fondant for the first time, with the help my friend, Jrose! I made medical-themed cupcakes for someone who just got accepted into medical school(s)! :)
I definitely need to practice, but I’m still so proud of our creations, so I thought I’d share my beginning stages of mastering the art of cupcakes (jk. maybe).
Congratulations, Jon!
