Honestly, job searching is really draining. DUHHHH, TIFFANY. Looking through thousands of postings I may/may not be qualified for, filling out tedious applications, going through my resumĂ© with a fine-toothed comb over & over, writing cover letters specifically tailored to each organization, going for round after round of nerve-wracking interviews (some with as many as 4 panelists)…

I know starting a career can take several months. Years, even. I am in a place that many people would be thankful for. I actually have a part-time job that I LOVE! Sure, it doesn’t really pay me well or give me enough hours, but the work is fulfilling. I know all these things, but it still feels like a punch in the stomach every time I open a generic email that essentially says “After reviewing your materials, we have decided that someone else is better. Thanks anyway!”. UGH!! asdkjhaskdfjhbwiuqwbvow

Definitely putting my humility in check, testing my patience, and challenging me to stay motivated.
