“We should catch up sometime”

In the last few months, I’ve been somewhat hesitant when it comes to conversations that begin with “Where have you been?”, “What have you been up to?”, or “How’s life?”. Just to clarify, I don’t dread these conversations. I’m happy to know there are some people in the world that actually care about what I do (and some that probably just say these things to be nice). There’s just so much that has been going on in my life that I usually don’t know where to begin.

I’m not the same person I was five years ago. Two years ago. A year ago. A month ago. I’m constantly changing, progressing, growing, experiencing, and learning.

So when people ask “Where have you been?”“What have you been up to?”, or “How’s life?”, sometimes I just don’t know where to begin.
