In the last few hours of 2011, I’m sitting at my family’s kitchen table with Wheel of Fortune playing in the background, my dog sitting in my lap, and my dad fast asleep on the couch. No party, no alcohol, no midnight kiss (well, maybe from my dog), no noise makers.
Yesterday, my mother underwent major surgery, which is (hopefully) the beginning of the final stages of her cancer...

Dear 8 lbs. 6 oz. newborn infant Jesus,
Happy Birthday! It’s Your birthday, but I just want to say thanks for giving me some awesome party favors:
An amazing family, awesome friends, a boyfriend that makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside. A job that may not pay me the big bucks, but one that I love and am proud of. The opportunity of higher education (not so thankful for the loans though, sorry). 2 rent-free roofs over my head...

drank Mexican Hot Chocolate

redid my make up for fun

I will never have to take a math class ever again.
Tiffany: I think I hate math because I suck at it and I hate being wrong.
Boy: LOL! I should start talking to you in math problem-solving scenarios.
Tiffany: No! I won't respond then.
Boy: Tiff, if I was going to your house taking the 5 all the way down at 72 MPH...how long would it take for me to get to your house, if I left at 5PM?

Boy: Tiff, this is really important.
Tiffany: I hate you. Stop it.
Boy: This is a serious question.
Tiffany: It would take you...a long time. Because 5PM is during rush hour. And there might be an accident. Plus, going 72 MPH on the 5 in LA is impossible at 5PM.
