2011: Year of the Upgrade
Upgrading my life by any means possible. Seizing every opportunity to make this year better than the rest awesome in general. If you keep track of Chinese Zodiac, this is also my year (Year of the Rabbit).I’m not Chinese, but I’ll keep that in mind as a motivation/inspiration.
Upgrading my:
academics
body
dating/love life (hah)
relationships

lifesproduct asked: The Alchemist really is an amazing and inspiring book. Two years ago, my class was required to read To Sir, With Love which is based on a true story. Our teacher raised money to hve the guy it was written about come and talk to the class...it just made the book more special to me. I also want to borrow Life of Pi and The Perks of Being A Wallflower from a friend. Sorry this was so long!

“The more that you read, the more things you will...
Kat asked me to give a few book recommendations that helped me discover more about myself and my faith, but I accidentally deleted the message post! Oops. Anyway, here are some of the books that I’ve read over the course of this year (and some from before) :
Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul by John & Staci Eldrige
Reaching Out by Henri Nouwen

Life Resolutions.
Last Year, I made three new year’s resolutions for 2010, which i am proud to say that I actually kept. my resolutions were:
Learn more about myself holistically.
Take better care of myself (emotionally, physically, spiritually).
Continue to work hard at everything I do.
In the midst of taking an “academic break”, I had a lot of time to focus on myself and the things that I...

”…I want John Cusack holdin’ a boom box outside my widow, I want to ride off on a lawn mower with Patrick Dempsey, I want Jake from 16 candles waiting outside a church for me, I want Judd Nelson trusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80’s movie… But no, no. John Hughes did not direct my life…”

A love like that.
Every once in a while, I run into a particular married couple at mass. They must be in their early thirties with three adorable children: a baby boy and two toddler girls. Every time I see them, I feel my heart smile. Even as a stranger, I can tell the husband and wife’s relationship with each other and their children emulate l-o-v-e. I don’t all the details about their marriage...

If anyone would like to know what I want for...
Athletic apparel that doesn’t make me look/feel like a burrito. Seriously, this “look good, feel good” thing works.
Cosmetic Carrier/Make Up Case. Too much clutter on my bathroom counter.
Peacoat. Since this is expensive, I’ll probably end up getting one for myself.
Gas cards. 160 miles/week for school + various trips/taxi duties = -$$$.
Netflix subscription. Or even...

I found it a little ironic that my last two entries were consecutive. The first one was me feeling reaffirmed in my life’s countless blessings. The second one was actually a reblog from my friend Hideki (I don’t know his story, but he seemed to take the words right out of my mouth).
I just deleted 5 paragraphs I wrote about friendships: old, new, restored, etc.
I’m just going...
I'm not tryin' to be rude or petty
hidekiat:
You made a clear decision to put your interests above our friendship, so as far as I’m concerned there’s really nothing left to be said. I can be civil about it. I’m not going around slandering your name. I can even stand to be in the same room with you, but don’t mistaken it for friendship. You dismissed that already. This is the last I will dwell on this topic.
I am so unbelievably blessed.
That’s really all I have to say for my 700th post.
This is how you get a guy. First, you kiss him. He’s gonna be shocked and...
